The Opportunity
EY Procurement and Supplier Ecosystem Services (PSES) Team manages the end-to-end supplier lifecycle from Sourcing to Contract management across Technology, Talent and BMC categories with an annual spend in excess of US$5billion.
We are looking for Procurement professionals who have experience negotiating supplier contracts related to hardware, software and professional services and provide coaching to a small Procurement team sourcing low complex, low spend Technology Sourcing projects and complementing our PSES team.
Key charactaristics for success include an appetite for challenge, change and enhancing the maturity of the team by delivering quality sourcing projects and delivering annual targets. Is energized by working under pressure and to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities effectively. Strong collaboration with Technology stakeholders, Technology Souring functional leads and other Smart Buy team leaders.
Your key responsibilities

• Developing strong and collaborative relationships with other Smart Buy team leaders (Talent Procurement and BMC Procurent) is essential to maximise Smart Buy team value proposition through delivery of Smart Buy Strategic Objectives and a Smart Buy PSES team which can quickly flex to support project spikes and fluctations across geograhies and categories.
• Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings.
• Manage a small team providing the following:
• End-to-end delivery of sourcing projects for EY business stakeholders in Technology.
• Execution of sourcing projects in line with the Supply Chain Services policy and within the timeline as agreed with key stakeholders.
• Work with Technology related stakeholders and business leaders to continuously identify opportunities for the organization within the category.
• Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, aligning Supply Chain Services projects with the business\xe2\x80\x99 pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Services while delivery both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings, cost avoidance and forgone savings.
• Achieve value-add targets (Brand Value), cost reduction and spend improve spend value in sourcing projects.
• Ensure adherence to EY Supply Chain Services policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and other EY support functions.
• Provides structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects.
• Lead Request for Proposals (RFPs) including commercial contractual negotiations, while partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance. Minimize contractual risks to EY and manage supplier relationships according to EY\xe2\x80\x99s Supply Chain Services and Independence policies.
• Solid knowledge of key suppliers and their position in the market, in addition to working through current market intelligence resources and partners to perform the latest research.

Skills and attributes for success

• Some experience managing and motivating a small team
• Strong experience with senior stakeholder management with the ability to collaboratively co-develop strategies and set and manage expectations.
• Experience in negotiating contracts globally.
• Good knowledge of IT vendors and new technologies.
• Experience negotiating for multiple Service delivery models (Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, etc)
• A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
• Excellent communication and networking skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to effectively manage and influence stakeholders
• Ability to work in a high pace, agile environment
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively
• High level of cultural awareness and EQ
• Experience of working in a Sourcing/Procurement/Vendor Management team in a complex and global environment
• Strong influencing and networking skills as the organization relies on working in cross functional teams across borders
• Provide high level of Exceptional Client Service
• Strong communication skills required; must have the ability communicate in English effectively, transparently, and timely across multiple mediums (email, voice, IM, etc) in a global environment
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for challenge and change

• Degree educated \xe2\x80\x93 varying dependent on level
• In depth sourcing experience and strong negotiation skills
• Experience of stakeholder management at a senior level in their current or previous role
