POSITION SUMMARY
The
SM / AVP - Corporate Affairs (MCGM)
will lead all liaioning and statutory coordination with
BMC/MCGM
for Aspect Group's headquarters and multiple offices/projects across Mumbai.
The role involves ongoing engagement with municipal departments to secure approvals, licenses, concessions, tax assessments, and regulatory clearances, ensuring seamless operations and full compliance for the Group.
Manage all liaisoning with BMC Head Office and ward offices.
Build rapport with officials across Estate, Building, Factory, Health, Pest Control, Fire Brigade, and Assessment Tax Departments.
Handle technical submissions, file movement, and permissions including tree cutting approvals, concessions, and statutory NOCs.
Track and manage demolition (CI) notices, coordinating resolutions with internal teams.
Oversee building plan and factory approval processes.
2. Licensing & Regulatory Clearances
Obtain and renew health licenses, trade licenses, factory licenses, signage approvals, fire safety compliances, etc.
Ensure adherence to municipal norms regarding hygiene, structural safety, and environmental standards.
Manage pest control certifications and environmental hygiene audits.
Process hoarding and municipal advertising permissions.
3. Assessments & Taxation
Manage property tax assessments, revisions, exemptions, and timely processing of dues.
Maintain documentation for all assessment activities and approvals.
Liaise with the Assessment Department for clarifications and dispute resolutions.
4. Relationship Management & Representation
Build strong relationships with Assistant Commissioners, Chief Engineers, and key officials.
Represent Aspect Group in municipal hearings, ward meetings, and compliance reviews.
Identify opportunities for compliant concessions and operational benefits.
Maintain goodwill and visibility of Aspect Group across MCGM administrative departments.
5. Governance, Documentation & Reporting
Maintain a centralized repository of approvals, licenses, renewals, and correspondence.
Prepare MIS reports, compliance dashboards, and progress trackers for senior management.
Ensure ethical conduct, transparency, and adherence to governance standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Graduate/Postgraduate in
Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or Business Management
.
Minimum
10+ years of experience
in MCGM liaisoning, regulatory work, and government coordination.
Strong understanding of municipal laws, BMC procedures, licensing norms, and statutory documentation.
Proven experience dealing with BMC Head Office, ward offices, and civic departments.
Excellent communication, follow-up, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
High integrity and sound understanding of governance practices.
