We are seeking a highly skilled Slack Architect to join our consulting team and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Slack-based collaboration solutions for our clients. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting capabilities to help organizations transform the way they work, streamline communication, and fully leverage Slack as a digital headquarters. You will partner with cross-functional client stakeholders--including IT, Security, Operations, and Business Leadership--to assess requirements, architect scalable solutions, integrate Slack with enterprise systems, and enable strong governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design:
Lead discovery sessions to understand client business processes, communication workflows, and collaboration pain points. Architect enterprise-grade Slack environments including organizational structure, channel strategy, workflows, automation, and app integrations.
Define Slack governance models (naming conventions, retention, security, and compliance policies).
Design and implement Slack automation solutions using Workflow Builder, Slack APIs, Bolt framework, and integration platforms.
Develop scalable architectures for multi-workspace or Slack Enterprise Grid deployments.
Technical Implementation:
Configure and deploy Slack solutions aligned with best practices and client requirements.
Integrate Slack with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Okta, and HRIS platforms.
Support SSO, identity management, and role-based access controls.
Build custom apps and bots when required, ensuring operational resilience and security.
Consulting & Advisory:
Advise clients on Slack adoption strategies, workspace maturity, and employee experience improvements.
Conduct Slack health assessments and deliver optimization recommendations.
Partner with client technical teams to ensure successful change management, enablement, and onboarding.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Project Leadership:
Collaborate with project managers to scope engagements, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery.
Document architectures, configurations, and technical specifications.
Support pre-sales activities, including solution proposals, estimates, and client presentations.
Qualifications required:
5+ years of experience in collaboration platforms, digital workplace technologies, or enterprise architecture.
Advanced experience designing and implementing Slack solutions in medium-to-large organizations.
Strong knowledge of Slack Enterprise Grid administration.
Proficiency with Slack APIs, custom app development, and automation workflows.
Experience integrating Slack with third-party or custom enterprise applications.
Understanding of identity management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and enterprise security controls.
Excellent client-facing communication, facilitation, and consulting skills.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a professional services or management consulting environment.
Experience with Salesforce, Atlassian products, ServiceNow, Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365 integrations.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Certifications related to Slack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and holistically.
Self-starter able to operate with minimal direction in fast-paced environments.
Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
High level of professionalism and client empathy.
