Role Summary

We are looking for a creative and meticulous

Embroidery Design Sketch Artist

to be the driving force behind our aesthetic vision. This role is responsible for the conceptualization and creation of detailed, production-ready design sketches for embroidery patterns and textile prints. The successful candidate must possess strong artistic skills and an inherent understanding of textile aesthetics and trends to translate abstract ideas into tangible designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design Conceptualization:

Create original, detailed design sketches (both manual and digital) for embroidery patterns, motifs, and full textile repeats based on market trends, client briefs, and internal design concepts.

Detailing & Documentation:

Ensure all sketches are accurately represented with necessary details, measurements, and color placements that can be clearly understood and translated by the technical Digitizer (Puncher).

Collaboration:

Work closely with the core Design Head and the technical Punching team to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of the final design, facilitating smooth transition from art to technical execution.

Client Requirements:

Accurately incorporate feedback and design requirements from the sales and marketing teams, guaranteeing the final sketch aligns with client specifications.

Trend Analysis:

Stay current with global and local textile design, fashion, and embroidery trends, feeding insights back into the design development process.
Must-Have Requirements

Artistic Skills:

Strong, demonstrable artistic and drawing skills, with proficiency in both manual sketching techniques and digital design/illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).

Textile Aesthetics:

Practical understanding of textile design principles, color theory, and the specific aesthetic requirements and limitations of the embroidery craft.

Experience:

Relevant experience in creating design sketches, patterns, or artwork specifically for the textile, garment, or embroidery industry.

Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail, high creativity, and strong communication skills to articulate design intent.
