Minimum 3-5 years of experience in

hand sketching for Banarasi sarees

. Strong understanding of traditional Banarasi motifs, floral patterns, buti layouts, and zari work design. Ability to visualize and convert concepts into paper layouts. Attention to detail, creativity, and patience in drawing. Ability to work collaboratively with designers, weavers, and production teams. Diploma or certification in Fine Arts/Textile Designing is preferred (not mandatory if skill matches). Create precise and detailed

khaka sketches

for Banarasi saree designs. Understand and interpret design briefs given by designers or clients. Work closely with the design and weaving team to ensure the sketch is technically feasible for loom production. Maintain traditional design aesthetics while introducing fresh concepts and motifs. Make corrections or adjustments to sketches based on feedback. Maintain a proper library of all approved and completed khaka designs. Ensure accuracy in measurements, motif placements, and border/pallu detailing.
