The Sizing Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining sizing machines to ensure optimal yarn strength, uniformity, and quality for efficient weaving operations. The role focuses on maintaining process parameters, minimizing yarn breaks, and ensuring consistent sizing quality.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor sizing machines as per standard operating procedures
Prepare and control sizing recipes (size mix) according to yarn count and fabric requirements
Ensure proper yarn tension, moisture content, and size pick-up
Monitor machine parameters such as speed, temperature, pressure, and stretch
Identify and rectify issues like yarn breaks, uneven sizing, or coating defects
Education & Qualifications
ITI (Fitter / Mechanical) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of yarn properties, sizing chemicals, and weaving preparatory processes
Experience
2-5 years of experience in sizing operations in a weaving unit
Hands-on experience with modern sizing machines (Benninger, Karl Mayer, or similar preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
