Role Overview

The Site Survey Engineer will be responsible for conducting field surveys, collecting accurate site data, preparing survey documentation, and supporting engineering teams with essential geomatics inputs. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience, technical accuracy, and the ability to coordinate effectively during project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct topographical, land, route, and engineering surveys using Total Station, DGPS, GNSS, Auto Level, and other survey instruments. Carry out boundary demarcation, leveling, site assessments, and field measurements with precision. Process, analyze, and verify survey data to ensure accuracy. Establish control points, benchmarks, and alignments required for construction activities. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams for layout and setting-out works. Prepare survey drawings, contour maps, plans, and technical documentation using CAD/GIS tools. Maintain survey instruments, ensure regular calibration, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Prepare daily field reports, survey logs, and measurement records. Support data processing tasks using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS, or other survey software.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or related discipline. 1-5 years of relevant experience in land or infrastructure surveying (freshers may apply). Proficiency in operating Total Station, DGPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and other instruments. Strong knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and leveling techniques. Good skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS software, or survey data processing tools. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and site plans. Strong communication skills and willingness to work in varied field conditions across Mumbai. Readiness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in infrastructure, utilities, metro, road, pipeline, or building projects in the Mumbai region. Knowledge of drone surveys, LiDAR, or GPS post-processing (added advantage).
