The Site Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day site activities, ensuring that work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The position requires close coordination with contractors, labour teams, consultants, and project management to ensure timely progress and quality control, especially on heritage/conservation sites where sensitive handling of materials and techniques is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor
daily site activities
as per project schedule and instructions from the Project Architect/Engineer.
Ensure that construction/restoration work is carried out
as per approved drawings, conservation guidelines, and specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, labour, skilled artisans, and material suppliers to maintain smooth workflow.
Maintain
daily reports
, including manpower deployment, material usage, site progress, and work photographs.
Ensure
quality control
and adherence to conservation protocols (in case of heritage projects).
Verify
site measurements
and provide data to the drafting/engineering team when required.
Maintain discipline, work allocation, and site housekeeping standards (cleaning, organizing tools & materials).
Report any deviations, site issues, or structural concerns immediately to the Project Lead/Engineer.
Ensure
proper handling and storage of materials
, especially heritage-sensitive assets.
Assist in installation of signages, barricading, temporary storage, and protection works at the site.
Implement and monitor
safety protocols
, including PPE use, restricted access areas, and hazard signage.
