The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. This role involves coordinating workers, managing materials, monitoring progress, and reporting site status to management.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Management & Coordination
Supervise day-to-day site operations and workforce (contractors, subcontractors, labor).
Ensure work progresses according to the project plan, schedule, and quality standards.
Allocate tasks and monitor performance of on-site staff.
2. Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company, local, and statutory regulations.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Quality Control
Inspect work to ensure it meets approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Report any defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily site records, including progress updates, labor logs, material usage, and site issues.
Assist in preparing site documentation required for inspections and approvals.
5. Coordination with Stakeholders
Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
Ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of site-related queries.
Qualifications & Skills Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Relevant field (as applicable).
Experience
4-7 years of site supervision experience (industry-specific experience preferred).
Technical Skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of construction/site management practices.
Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used on site.
Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making capability.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
