: Site Supervisor (Furniture Line)Position Overview
The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing and monitoring all on-site activities related to furniture installation and finishing work. The role ensures that the project is executed smoothly, within timelines, and as per quality standards. This position requires hands-on experience in the furniture/interior industry.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Management
Supervise daily site operations including carpentry, modular installations, polishing, and fabrication.
Allocate tasks to workers and ensure work progresses as per plan.
Maintain site cleanliness, safety, and discipline.
2. Quality Assurance
Check the accuracy, alignment, finishing, and quality of installed furniture.
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and instructions.
Identify and correct workmanship issues immediately.
3. Material Handling
Maintain stock records of site materials and tools.
Issue material to workers and monitor usage to avoid wastage.
Coordinate with procurement/warehouse teams for material requirements.
4. Coordination
Communicate daily with Project Manager, design team, and client representatives.
Share regular progress updates, photos, and work status reports.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and other site teams.
5. Workforce Management
Supervise carpenters, polishers, helpers, and installation teams.
Ensure proper attendance, productivity, and safety of all workers.
Manage shift planning and resolve labour-related issues.
6. Planning & Execution
Prepare daily/weekly work schedules.
Monitor project timelines and ensure work completion within deadlines.
Take corrective actions to avoid delays or rework.
7. Safety Compliance
Ensure workers follow safety guidelines and PPE usage.
Report any safety issues or incidents to management immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3-4 years of experience
as Site Supervisor in the furniture/interior industry.
Strong technical knowledge of furniture installation, carpentry, modular fittings, and polishing.
Ability to understand technical drawings, measurements, and BOQs.
Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of reporting tools (WhatsApp, Excel, email).
Education
ITI/Diploma in Interior, Civil, or Furniture Technology (preferred).
Work Location
Project-based (travel to different sites when required).
