Construction Site Supervisor -- Demolition and Civil Alterations

Role summary

Experienced full-time Construction Site Supervisor to lead demolition and civil alteration works. Responsible for on-site supervision, structural measurements and calculations, worker coordination, and client communication. Role requires flexibility for long shifts and occasional night work.

Key responsibilities

Supervise demolition and civil alteration activities on site and ensure work follows drawings and specifications. Calculate and verify dimensions and quantities for civil structures and temporary works. Coordinate daily with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and company workforce to ensure smooth progress. Issue work instructions, monitor workmanship quality, and enforce safety and compliance standards. Prepare concise site reports, progress updates, and material/measurement records. Identify and report structural or site issues; propose practical solutions and get approvals. Manage labour allocation, tasks, and on-site discipline to meet schedules.

Required skills and experience

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent field. Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience supervising demolition or heavy civil alteration projects. Strong knowledge of structural elements, site measurements, and ability to perform basic structural dimension calculations. Proven ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings. Good communication skills for client coordination and crew management. Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor site conditions; ability to work extended hours and nights when required. Valid safety training or certifications preferred (e.g., construction safety, CPR) and willingness to follow company safety protocols.

Working hours and conditions

Full-time, site-based role; available all days as required. Typical shifts up to 8-12 hours; occasional night shifts possible. Hands-on, physically active work at demolition sites with PPE required.
