The Site Supervisor is the on-site leader responsible for the successful, safe, and high-quality execution of interior design and fit-out projects. This role involves day-to-day management of site operations, coordination of trades and vendors, and ensuring all work is completed according to the design specifications, budget, and project schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution and Management
Site Oversight:
Supervise all on-site interior fit-out activities, including civil works, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and finishing.
Timeline Adherence:
Monitor and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly work schedule to ensure the project is completed on time. Proactively identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
Drawing Interpretation:
Thoroughly read, understand, and interpret architectural and interior design drawings, blueprints, and specifications to communicate precise instructions to the site team.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular and meticulous site inspections to ensure all work meets the company's high quality standards and design specifications. Immediately address and resolve any defects or non-conformities.
2. Team and Resource Coordination
Subcontractor Management:
Coordinate and supervise the work of various subcontractors, vendors, and in-house labor teams.
Material Management:
Oversee the timely procurement, inspection, and inventory management of all raw materials, finishes, and fittings, ensuring they match the specified quality and quantity.
Logistics:
Manage site logistics, including material storage, movement, and waste disposal.
3. Safety and Compliance
Safety Enforcement:
Implement and strictly enforce all company and local health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on the construction site.
Site Safety:
Conduct regular safety toolbox talks and ensure all workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
4. Reporting and Communication
Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact between the Project Manager, design team, subcontractors, and sometimes the client.
Progress Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports detailing site activities, milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and resources utilized.
Issue Resolution:
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot on-site problems (e.g., design clashes, material shortages, labor disputes) and propose practical, timely solutions.
