Oversee daily on-site activities to ensure smooth progress of work.
Supervise workers, subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Monitor the use of materials and ensure there is no wastage or misuse.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors for timely material delivery.
2. Quality Control
Ensure all construction work meets the required specifications, standards, and safety norms.
Conduct regular inspections of work done by contractors and laborers.
Report defects or quality issues immediately and ensure corrective actions are taken.
3. Safety and Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and ensure workers are following safety guidelines.
Conduct toolbox talks or daily safety briefings.
Maintain accident records and report incidents promptly to management.
Ensure compliance with statutory and company safety regulations.
4. Planning and Coordination
Assist project engineers and managers in scheduling and sequencing of works.
Communicate daily progress, challenges, and manpower details to the project manager.
Coordinate with vendors for supply of construction materials and tools.
Support the project team in achieving milestones as per project plan.
5. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain daily site reports -- progress, manpower, material usage, and equipment log.
Record attendance of workers and maintain site records.
Report delays, shortages, and deviations to the project manager immediately.
Assist in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports.
