The Hospital Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned hospital departments, ensuring efficient service delivery, patient satisfaction, staff management, and compliance with healthcare standards and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating with medical, nursing, administrative, and support staff to maintain smooth functioning and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Supervise day-to-day hospital operations, including patient services, housekeeping, and administrative functions.
Ensure smooth coordination between different departments such as nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and front office.
Staff Supervision
Monitor, guide, and evaluate staff performance.
Schedule shifts and allocate responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Support staff training and professional development initiatives.
Patient Care & Satisfaction
Address patient concerns, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Maintain high standards of patient care and hospitality.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to hospital policies, government regulations, and accreditation standards.
Implement and monitor infection control, safety, and hygiene practices.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily activity reports, incident logs, and performance records.
Report operational challenges and suggest improvements to senior management.
Resource & Inventory Management
Oversee the use of hospital facilities, medical equipment, and supplies.
Ensure optimal utilization of resources and timely procurement of essentials.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Nursing, Healthcare Management, or a related field
Experience
: 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
