The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring work quality, supervising labour, coordinating materials, and maintaining safety and project timelines.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Site Execution & Monitoring
Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on site.
Ensure work is executed as per drawings, standards, and specifications.
Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Check quality of workmanship such as shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, plaster, masonry, flooring, etc.
B. Labour & Contractor Coordination
Manage and allocate work to labour teams and subcontractors.
Maintain daily labour attendance and productivity.
Resolve site issues and coordinate manpower requirements.
C. Material Management
Monitor material consumption and prevent wastage.
Coordinate timely delivery and storage of construction materials.
Maintain material stock registers and usage reports.
D. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all safety norms are followed on-site (PPE, barricading, housekeeping).
Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices immediately.
Ensure compliance with company and statutory guidelines.
E. Quality Control
Inspect all civil works regularly and highlight defects.
Ensure proper curing, finishing, and measurements.
Raise quality issues with the engineer and ensure corrections.
F. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily site report (DSR) with progress, labour, materials, and issues.
Maintain checklists for each activity (masonry, plaster, RCC, finishing).
Assist in bill verification of contractors and vendors.
