Roles and Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

Supervise and monitor all interior works at the site to ensure timely execution. Coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure the smooth functioning of site operations. Ensure all work is carried out as per design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

2. Coordination & Communication

Act as a liaison between the design team, contractors, vendors, and clients. Coordinate with subcontractors (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, etc.) to ensure timely and quality execution. Communicate design changes or instructions clearly to the site workers.

3. Quality Control

Ensure all work is carried out to high standards of quality. Conduct regular quality checks for finishes, materials, and workmanship. Identify and report defects, and ensure timely rectification.

4. Material Management

Monitor the delivery and use of materials on site. Maintain stock levels and prevent material wastage or theft. Raise material requisitions in advance based on project needs.

5. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Track work progress as per the project schedule. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and update the project manager or client. Report delays, issues, or bottlenecks promptly and suggest possible solutions.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure the site adheres to safety regulations and best practices. Monitor workers' adherence to safety guidelines and use of PPE. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

7. Drawing & Document Handling

Read and interpret architectural and interior drawings accurately. Ensure the latest drawings are being followed at the site. Maintain site documentation, such as site instructions, daily logs, and inspection reports.

8. Vendor & Labor Management

Supervise skilled and unskilled labor and ensure proper allocation of tasks. Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors for specialized installations (false ceiling, modular furniture, glass, etc.). Verify labor attendance and report to HR/Admin.

9. Snagging and Handover

Conduct snagging and ensure rectifications before handover. Assist in the final handover of the project to the client, including walkthroughs and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in site supervision for interior projects (residential/commercial). Ability to read technical drawings and implement them on-site. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
