Job Description

Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and schedule. Supervise labor, subcontractors, and ensure proper work allocation. Check levels, alignment, and measurements on-site before concreting or masonry. Ensure materials and workmanship meet approved standards. Inspect formwork, steel reinforcement, shuttering, and concreting processes. Highlight and rectify quality issues immediately. Liaise with the project engineer, architect, vendors, and labor contractors. Maintain smooth coordination between different trades (civil, electrical, plumbing, interiors). Ensure timely availability of drawings and clarifications from the office/architect. Check and record daily material consumption. Raise material requisitions in advance to avoid shortages. Ensure proper storage and minimize wastage on-site. Maintain attendance and productivity records. Monitor discipline, safety gear usage, and housekeeping. Resolve small site-level issues between labor teams. Enforce safety protocols--helmets, gloves, barricades, and signage. Prevent accidents and unsafe work practices. Maintain site cleanliness and orderliness. Maintain daily work progress reports and submit to the project manager. Highlight delays or issues affecting project timeline. Assist in preparing weekly progress summaries. Keep record of site photos, daily reports, labor & material logs. Verify subcontractor bills with actual site progress.
