The Role

As Site Reliability Engineer, you will focus on the Wintel and Virtualization for Infrastructure Services Clients and work constantly towards enhancing the Reliability of the estate.
You will optimize the availability of IT infrastructure, systems and services constantly working on improving the reliability of the environment to meet the commitments IBM has made to its clients related to availability target levels in a cost-effective manner.
You will use technical and client environment knowledge to assure services and components are designed and delivered to meet their availability targets. They provide a holistic view of the client's environment and make recommendations to improve overall service availability. You are required to specialize in reliability with the right mix of knowledge and skills in Cloud Systems, responsible to analyze business needs, problem determination, advise & design, build, test, deploy, changes and maintenance of a well-engineered information system
Technical Requirement

• Strong exposure on Cloud Architecture on Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Vmware, Citrix, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud deployments
• Handle multiple accounts as required with over all Wintel and virtualizing
• Strong experience in Windows and VM Administration, Clustering, Hyper-V, Azure Hybrid Infrastructure and AWS
• Strong experience on High Availability, Multisite clustering, Microsoft SQL Clustering.
• Strong experience on Microsoft Active Directory federation Service Implementation and Integration with 3rd party Application
• Strong knowledge on Active Directory Implementation and upgrading Domain Controllers.
• Strong knowledge on Troubleshooting Hybrid Active Directory Infrastructure
• Strong Knowledge on SCCM, SCOM and WSUS Services.
• Strong experience on Veritas Clustering for Windows
• Strong knowledge on managing File Server, Storage Server and CA Server (Certificate Authority Servers)

• Strong Understanding on Storge and Network to target any issues end to end.
• Strong Troubleshooting experience on network packet capture and Analyzing Packet capture.
• Strong Understanding on Application, Database and Network integration
• Responsible to develop and maintain Availability Plans which prioritizes and plans IT availability.
• Monitor IT availability levels by comparing actual levels against targets and addressing shortfalls.
• System Thinking end-to-end - Broad understanding of enterprise architectures and complex (backend) systems (understand more than the component itself)
• Understanding of systems from a reliability perspective. Ability to root cause sources of instability in a high-traffic, distributed system.
• Passion for resolving reliability issues and identify strategies to mitigate going forward.
• Understanding and practical working experience of operating systems / hypervisor internals are familiar with the TCP/IP stack, network routing and load balancing. Experience with configuration and troubleshooting
• Perform multiple Technical roles related to the delivery
• Responsibilities include Participate as a Technical Leadership during the critical and Major incidents and Root cause.
• Proven experience in risk-based systems running on Several Server platforms along with OS clustering
• Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day Server and operating system break-fix support, changes and Critical Client Impacting situations

Required Technical skill
B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech in a relevant discipline
Minimum 12 years of technical experience
Course completion certificates or equivalent work experience
Hands-on experience with Windows administration, VMware virtualization. Automation tools and frameworks
Proficiency in scripting languages-PowerShell and Ansible
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write purchase
justifications, train users in complex topics, make presentations to an
internal audience, and interact positively with upper management
Independent problem-solving, self-direction
Preferred Technical Skill
Relevant certifications (desirable but not mandatory)
