Your team responsibilities The successful candidate shall be part of Application Support – Application Management global team located across Manila, Mumbai and Norman. The candidate will practice and develop a strong multi-disciplinary technical background, and will manage the release and deployment process, environment configuration, capacity management, production support and problem management in a global team of support engineers. You will liaise with application developers, business leaders and product owners providing feedback and recommendations on application architecture and operations, participate in projects evaluating new technologies, cloud migrations, product pilots and more. Your key responsibilities
  • Deploy and provide application support for industry leading financial analytics applications hosted across multiple data centers and cloud running on both Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Plan, Migrate and Maintain on prem application to Azure cloud.
  • Provide root cause analysis as required to internal stakeholders.
  • Interact with internal development, infrastructure and QA teams to solve issues and complex problems.
  • Identify areas for automation and innovation in technology, process and operations.
  • Actively identify incidents and as necessary manage the incident resolution process to provide service recovery and manage client communications and expectations in respect to incident resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance through changes in configuration or suggestions for development.
  • Liaise with application developers, business leaders and product owners providing feedback and recommendations on application architecture and operations.
  • Participate in projects evaluating new technologies, cloud migrations, product pilots and more.
  • Weekend on-call shift required on a rotational basis.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
  • Familiarity with Azure/AWS. Experience migrating applications to Azure/AWS will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes.
  • Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Significant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments and scripting.
  • Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell or Python is must.
  • 6+ years’ experience in Application/Production Support position or SRE Role.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, fast learner.
  • Proven Network/Application troubleshooting skills.
  • Awareness of Release, Change, Problem and Incident management processes.
  • Software management/development (Java, XML preferred).
  • Database experience a plus – Oracle/MSSQL.
  • Apache/Tomcat/Web Services experience a plus.
  • Ability to self-manage your own projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience or interest in Finance a plus.
