Education & Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or equivalent
PMP Certification / Masters Degree (preferred)
Certifications in NFPA, BIS, or equivalent Fire Safety standards (preferred)
Required Experience
3-8 years of experience in
Fire Alarm System project execution and management
Expertise in
design, installation, testing & commissioning
of:
Fire Alarm Systems (addressable & conventional)
PA/VA Systems
Emergency Evacuation Systems
HSSD (High Sensitivity Smoke Detection)
System integrations with BMS/SCADA/PLC
Project exposure in sectors like oil & gas, data centers, commercial buildings, power plants, hospitals, and malls
Understanding of SIL-rated F&G systems and industrial codes is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning
Define project objectives, deliverables, and technical scope
Prepare project schedules, resource allocation plans, and procurement timelines
Coordinate drawings, approvals, and authority submissions
2. Engineering & Design Review
Review and approve engineering designs, control philosophy, and FDS documents
Validate integration of Fire Alarm systems with SCADA, PLC, BMS, HVAC, etc.
Ensure compliance with national and international fire codes (NFPA, NBC, IS/IEC)
3. Site Execution & Monitoring
Lead on-site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning
Conduct FAT/SAT and TPI coordination
Ensure safety, quality, and documentation control at site
4. Stakeholder Coordination
Interact with clients, OEMs, consultants, and subcontractors
Manage project reviews, progress meetings, and approvals
Handle third-party inspections, certifications, and authority clearances
5. Project Budgeting & Billing
Track project budgets, cash flows, and cost control
Validate and process vendor and subcontractor bills
Ensure timely invoicing and milestone-based billing
6. Quality, Safety & Risk Management
Implement safety standards, risk assessments, and site protocols
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Conduct audits and system verifications for compliance
7. Project Documentation & Closure
Manage handover documentation: as-built drawings, test reports, certifications, training documents
Ensure timely project closure and collection of retention money
Conduct training for end-users and facility teams
Key Skills & Tools
Expertise in Fire Alarm Systems, HSSD, PA/VA, BMS Integration
Familiarity with NFPA, NBC, IS/IEC, SIL-2/SIL-3 safety standards
Knowledge of PLC/SCADA interfacing and system networking (added advantage)
Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM, Excel
Excellent leadership, communication, and client handling abilities
Strong documentation, planning, and coordination skills
