Job Description


The purpose of the role is to set and manage the site\xe2\x80\x99s performance and continuously improve its cost structure, efficiency, and productivity. The job holder will assess, analyze, and initiate capacity & capability supply solutions to meet market demand for the short, medium, and long terms, leading de-bottlenecking initiatives when required. The job plays a key role in managing factory activities across the site, guided by the activity management process and within the S&OP+ framework. Activities include portfolio management exercises, factory-initiated activities and the deployment of regional strategy into the site\xe2\x80\x99s operating plan. The job holder is expected to work closely with the local, cluster and regional Industrial Engineering (IE) and Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) teams; as well as establish global IE contacts. This role will be directly reporting to the Industrial Engineering and Supply Excellence Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management

Set and align all site-wide required Key Performance Indicators (KPI\xe2\x80\x99s) targets (i.e. Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Costs, Service, Sustainability, and Engagement), ensuring alignment with regional functional teams is done through site function heads. * Custodian of site\xe2\x80\x99s operation and labor standards (i.e. run rates, crewing, TRS, productivity, scrap levels, rework levels, changeovers, start-up, and shutdowns\xe2\x80\xa6).

  • Report out site\'s performance, capacity, and utilization by technology at a local & regional level as per agreed timelines and as per Global IE KPI definitions.
  • Calculate and report out the actuals and projected forecast for key factory KPI\xe2\x80\x99s (i.e. productivity, efficiency, energy, scrap\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Overlook the site\xe2\x80\x99s Value Leadership in Conversion (VLiC) program, ensuring alignment of VLiC-driven projects with site CAB, as well as generating VLiC proposals through the site operating model
  • Own the factory\xe2\x80\x99s PCC toolkit benchmarking annual submission.
  • Manage and drive the VS Focused Improvement roadmap to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Support MSE program through the deployment of both Factory Mars Operating System (FMOS) and Focusses Improvement (FI) pillars as part of the Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) program.
  • Initiate studies and analysis to improve the factory\'s Quality, Safety, Reliability, and cost structure.
  • Support the operating plan and CAB planning processes.
  • Work closely with local supply & market x-functional teams and regional Industrial Engineering community.
2. Activity Management
  • Manage the Capital Appropriation Budget (CAB) related to activities including planning, prioritizing, resourcing, reporting and approval thresholds.
  • Overlook the different markets\xe2\x80\x99 activity calendars to maximize the synergy between the different markets, targeting portfolio simplification and supply capability alignment with market demand
  • Ensure that activities are well planned and executed, achieving the committed targets.
Context and Scope

The role receives direction and coaching from the Regional IE Managers on analytics requests for projects and business activities.

The role works closely with the Operations Manager in aligning priorities and timings of responsibilities.

Support for programs including S&OP+, FMOS and Plant Manager Toolkits is provided by regional functional leads.

Knowledge/Experience
  • 4-8 years supply experience (preferably in manufacturing/food industry)
  • 3-4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Performance Management & Improvements
  • Experience in Capital project justifications and write-ups
  • Experience in de-bottlenecking/capacity and time loss analysis (Preferred)
  • Experience in TPM /Lean tools and techniques application (Preferred)
