Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and reliable

Foreman/Supervisor

to lead our on-site workforce. You will be the direct link between the site engineers and the labor team (mistris, mazdoors). Your primary job is to ensure that work is done safely, efficiently, and according to the plan and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Labor Management:

Supervise and manage the daily activities of all skilled (mistris, carpenters, bar-benders) and unskilled labor on site.

Work Execution:

Make sure that the construction work is carried out exactly as per the drawings and instructions given by the Site Engineer.

Daily Planning:

Organize the daily work schedule, assign tasks to workers, and ensure that daily targets are met.

Safety First:

Enforce all safety rules on-site. Ensure that all workers are using proper safety equipment (PPE) like helmets, boots, and jackets.

Material & Machinery:

Coordinate with the site store to ensure timely availability of materials. Manage the proper use of tools and small machinery.

Progress Reporting:

Provide regular updates on work progress to the Site Engineer and maintain a daily labor report (DLR).

Quality Check:

Conduct basic checks to ensure the quality of workmanship, such as checking shuttering levels and reinforcement placement before concreting.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

A minimum of

2-4 years

of experience working as a Foreman or Supervisor on building construction sites is essential.

Education:

No formal degree is required, but the ability to read and understand construction drawings is a must. A diploma or ITI in a civil trade is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction activities like

excavation, reinforcement, shuttering, and concreting.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Leadership Skills:

Excellent ability to

manage and motivate labor.

Strong communication skills to give clear instructions. Good problem-solving skills to handle on-site issues.
