The Head Asset Management & Engineering (Site) is responsible for flawless execution of mechanical, civil, electrical and instrumentation maintenance. The position entails overseeing the management of all assets in a timely and cost effective manner along with ensuring regulatory compliance.
Strategic Responsibilities
------------------------------
Ensure overall Plant Maintenance and smooth running of machines
Drive to improve the quality of machine and related improvement projects at site
Develop long term vendor relations for cost effective spares and ensure all critical spares are available at minimum stock
Conduct Periodic Maintenance and ensure that any critical issues are addressed on priority
Stay updated on current trends and developments in maintenance and provide guidance to upgrade the existing system
Communicate and coordinate with other departments like Production, Purchase, Stores etc.
Report to Site Head on the status of Legal Compliance and apprise him of its implication on business
Operational Responsibilities

Oversee the activities of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities and Civil maintenance departments
Manage all systems related to plant maintenance:
+ Maintain ISO systems
+ Maintain systems, guidelines, procedures and formats as per need
+ Ensure proper recode keeping of data Meet Statutory and organizational requirements related to activities such as:
+ Legal requirements related to weighs and measure
+ Customer requirements and guidelines Ensure effective utilization of manpower and resources
Drive improvements in inventory management systems of spares and consumables
Provide assistance in engineering vendor development and evaluation
Monitor equipment selections and specification changes related to instruments and software
Ensure timely redressal of breakdowns
Ensure compliance of Engineering SOP
Monitor analysis of data and implement action plan evaluated from cause analysis
Financial Responsibilities

Ensure cost effective operations & uninterrupted supply of utility
Take full responsibility of Asset Management & Engineering department's revenue & capital budget
Develop KPIs to measure the performance of Engineering executives at Site to ensure high productivity
Ensure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frame
