This role is responsible for supervising on-site waste management operations, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, coordinating with teams, and maintaining operational efficiency at the project site.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily waste handling, segregation, processing, and disposal activities at the site.
Ensure all operations follow environmental regulations, safety standards, and organizational protocols.
Monitor the functioning of waste processing equipment and coordinate maintenance when required.
Track waste volumes, site productivity, and material movement; prepare daily and weekly reports.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth site operations.
Identify operational issues and implement corrective measures.
Ensure proper documentation related to waste collection, transportation, and disposal.
Conduct safety checks and ensure adherence to PPE and site safety guidelines.
Assist in implementing new waste management systems, technologies, and process improvements.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of waste management processes (segregation, recycling, composting, disposal).
Ability to manage site teams and coordinate multiple activities.
Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Basic familiarity with reporting and documentation.
Ability to work independently in field conditions.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related field.
Experience in waste management or site operations (preferred but not mandatory for junior roles).
