Job Description

A Rooftop Solar EPC Engineer oversees the on-site execution of residential and commercial solar projects, managing electrical, mechanical, and civil aspects from installation to commissioning. Key responsibilities include supervising installation, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety regulations, coordinating with clients and government agencies, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing site resources. The role requires expertise in solar plant execution, electrical systems, and structural work, with a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering being a common educational requirement. Key Responsibilities

On-site Supervision:

Directly supervise the installation and commissioning of rooftop solar systems.

Project Management:

Oversee the electrical, mechanical, and civil aspects of the solar plant construction.

Quality & Safety:

Ensure that project execution adheres to design, technical specifications, and safety regulations.

Coordination:

Liaise with clients, government bodies, and other stakeholders for approvals, compliance, and project progress.

Technical Problem-Solving:

Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the project and implement effective solutions.

Resource Management:

Manage subcontractors, site workforce, and material handling to ensure efficient project completion.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a common educational requirement.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of solar plant execution, electrical systems, and structural elements is essential.

Site Management:

Experience in handling site activities and managing project resources effectively.

Coordination & Communication:

Ability to coordinate with various internal teams (procurement, design) and external parties.

Problem-Solving:

Strong technical and analytical skills to resolve site issues and implement solutions.
