The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing construction projects on-site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and designs for accurate execution.
Monitor progress and quality of work, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Maintain detailed documentation of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and material usage.
Support project managers in resource planning, scheduling, and cost control.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, interns, and construction workers as needed.
Assist in resolving any on-site technical problems that arise during the construction process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or other engineering software.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
