Accurately set out, level, and survey the site, ensuring the correct location and alignment of all works (e.g., foundations, structural elements, roads, drainage)
Quality Assurance (QA/QC):
Conduct regular quality inspections of work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, national standards, and building codes.
Oversee and manage material testing (e.g., concrete cubes, soil compaction) and sign off on completed work stages.
Technical Problem Solving:
Act as the first point of contact for technical queries on-site. Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and issues that may arise during construction.
2. Project Supervision and Management
Work Monitoring:
Supervise and monitor the site labour force and the work of all subcontractors to maintain project progress and workmanship standards.
Resource Management:
Plan and efficiently organize site facilities, equipment, and material storage to optimize workflow.
Scheduling:
Collaborate with the Project Manager/Planner to develop and manage short-term work schedules and resource allocation plans, adjusting them as needed to meet deadlines.
Coordination:
Liaise with the Project Manager, architects, M&E engineers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and coordinated execution of all construction activities.
3. Health, Safety, and Documentation
Safety Compliance:
Ensure the strict implementation and adherence to all on-site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and legislation (e.g., OSHA, local regulations). Conduct regular safety walk-throughs and toolbox talks.
Material Management:
Oversee the selection, requisition, inspection, and safe storage of construction materials, ensuring they are ordered correctly and available when needed.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed daily site diaries, progress reports, and activity logs.
Prepare and submit reports on progress, quality control, safety incidents, and material usage to the Project Manager.
4.Required Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
1 to 5+ of proven experience as a Site Engineer, Junior Site Engineer, or similar role on
Professional Engineer (PE) license, PMP, or relevant construction safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour),ADIS
5.Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant engineering principles.
Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying technical drawings and blueprints.
Competency in site surveying and setting out techniques and equipment (e.g., Total Station, level).
Familiarity with construction management software, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of quality control procedures and building codes.
