Job Title: Site Engineer

Job Purpose:
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing site-level activities related to fire protection projects, including coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams. The role ensures timely execution, documentation, and compliance with quality standards from mobilization to handover.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities:
Attend and document MOMs within 24 hours of meetings.
Conduct site visits, shaft/civil readiness checks, and labor mobilization.
Coordinate labor KYC, gate passes, labor camp arrangements.
Inspect incoming materials (from vendors/TFPC godown) for quantity, quality, and damages.
Sign or remark delivery challans and update project coordinators accordingly.
Prepare Material Inspection Reports (MIRs), Delivery Challans (DCs), and submit for GRN generation.
Ensure all documentation (MIR, DC, MTC, photos, TDS) is collected and sent.
Track and update GRN & supplier invoices in client ERP systems.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors on daily DPRs (including Video DPR).
Execute and monitor daily work progress via internal and client WhatsApp groups.
Material Management:
Ensure safe storage of materials at site godown.
Raise indent for consumables twice a week.
Call client for MIR approval on material received.
Verify DCs, prepare GRN documents, and send to Project Coordinator.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare DPRs, WIRs (Work Inspection Record), JMS (Joint Measurement Sheet).
Coordinate with Project Coordinator for stamped reports.
Participate in internal and client-side hydro testing and snag clearance.
Submit test reports and sign-offs post client inspection.
Execution & Commissioning:
Supervise mock-up flat setup, mobilization puja, and readiness before work.
Ensure contractor and labor availability on time.
Execute project as per approved drawings and BOQ.
Conduct commissioning & final testing (hydro test, rectification, etc.)
Project Handover:
Prepare and submit complete Handover Kit: includes MIR, WIR, JMS, Test Reports, As-Built Drawings, Warranty, AMC Terms, Client Feedback Form, etc.
Take client acknowledgment on final Invoice & documentation.
Change Management:
Coordinate client confirmation for any design/BOQ changes.
Request for Amended PO and initiate execution accordingly.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of Fire Fighting Systems (Hydrant, Sprinkler, etc.)
Material handling, documentation, and reporting.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficient with tools like Zoho, Excel, ERP Systems, and WhatsApp tracking.
Ability to lead site activities independently and manage contractor teams.
Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Fire Engineering.
2+ years experience in Fire Protection / MEP Projects preferred.
