Job Description

The Site Engineer - MEP is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and supervision of all MEP works at the site. This includes ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are installed as per design, standards, and project specifications within budget, time, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution:

Supervise and manage installation of all MEP systems (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, etc.). Ensure all MEP works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and local regulations. Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution.

Site Supervision:

Monitor work progress, quality, and safety standards on site. Manage and oversee subcontractors' activities and manpower allocation. Conduct site inspections and prepare daily/weekly reports.

Technical Coordination:

Assist in the review and approval of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for timely execution and material delivery. Attend project meetings and resolve any technical site issues.

Quality & Safety:

Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures. Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations at the work site.

Documentation:

Maintain updated documentation such as daily reports, inspection requests, test results, and site instructions. Support the preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

3-7 years in MEP site execution, preferably in construction or contracting companies.

Skills:

Strong understanding of MEP systems and design drawings. Knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., DEWA, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.). Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to use AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.

Preferred Certifications (optional):

PMP, LEED, or MEP-specific certifications Safety training (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH)
