Job Title: Site Engineer - Mechanical (Piping)

Location: Maharashtra Sites

Job Type: Full-Time

Department: Mechanical / Piping

Reports To: Project Manager / Site In-Charge

Job Summary:

- We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer (Mechanical - Piping) with a Degree or

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering to manage on-site piping fabrication and installation activities.

- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Carbon Steel (CS) and Stainless Steel (SS) piping

works, strong understanding of ASTM standards, WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), and PQR

(Procedure Qualification Record), along with proven skills in manpower management, work planning,

and site documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and execute CS and SS piping fabrication and installation activities as per project drawings
and ASTM standards.

Interpret isometric drawings, GA drawings, P&IDs, and material specifications for fabrication and
installation.

Ensure welding activities follow approved WPS, PQR, and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification)
procedures.

Monitor welding and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and project
specifications.

Coordinate with QA/QC for weld inspection, NDT clearance, and joint release. Manage and allocate manpower effectively to meet project timelines and productivity targets. Prepare and submit daily progress reports, work status updates, and site logs to the Project Manager. Plan daily and weekly work schedules based on material availability and site conditions. Maintain project documentation including weld logs, material traceability records, and inspection
reports.

Follow up on drawing and document approvals with consultants or clients as required. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, toolbox talks, and permit systems.
Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification:
o Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience:
o 2 to 5 years of experience in site execution of piping works, especially in CS & SS piping as per

ASTM or ASME standards.

Technical Knowledge:

o Strong knowledge of ASTM standards for piping material.

o Familiarity with WPS, PQR, WPQ, and welding techniques (GTAW, SMAW, etc.).

o Knowledge of fabrication tools, machines, and piping layout techniques.

o Understanding of NDT methods and QA/QC processes.

Software Skills:
o Proficiency in reading AutoCAD drawings and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).

o Familiarity with project management software (optional but preferred).

Soft Skills:
o Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

o Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

o Organized with good documentation and reporting abilities.

Preferred Experience:

Background in Oil & Gas, Refineries, Power Plants, or Process Industries. Knowledge of applicable codes: ASME B31.3 / B31.1, ASTM, API, etc. Experience working with third-party inspectors or client representatives.
Other Requirements:

Willingness to relocate or work on remote project sites. Flexible to work extended hours or shifts as required by project demands. Ability to ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards

Pay: ₹11,209.49 - ₹41,986.68 per month
