We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Site Engineer Apprentice to support our civil engineering teams on government-funded projects. The ideal candidate will have foundational training (ITI/Diploma/BE Civil) and 1-2 years of field experience, particularly on public-sector works. You'll work under the guidance of senior engineers to gain practical exposure to site operations, contract compliance, and quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in setting out and surveying site works according to approved drawings and specifications
Monitor day-to-day construction activities and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and schedule
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and on-site labor for material delivery and work execution
Conduct routine inspections and record site progress, preparing daily/weekly progress reports
Support quantity measurement, bill-of-quantities (BOQ) verification, and measurement book (MB) entries
Help resolve on-site technical issues and liaise with design teams to implement revisions
Ensure compliance with government contract terms and statutory requirements (e.g., labour laws, environmental norms)
Maintain site documentation: drawings, permits, inspection reports, RFI logs, and as-built records
