The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising installation, erection, alignment, and commissioning of conveyor systems at project sites. The role requires close coordination with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution of conveyor projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise on-site installation and erection of conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain, slat, etc.)
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
Coordinate with contractors, fabricators, and internal project teams
Monitor daily site activities and manpower deployment
Ensure adherence to safety standards and site safety practices
Handle alignment, leveling, and mechanical assembly of conveyor components
Support testing, trial runs, and commissioning activities
Identify site issues and report to the Project Engineer / Project Manager
Maintain site documentation, daily progress reports, and material records
Coordinate with client representatives during execution and handover
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment
Ability to read and understand GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and layouts
Basic knowledge of motors, gearboxes, drives, and conveyor accessories
Familiarity with tools, tackles, and installation procedures
Knowledge of industrial safety norms and PPE usage
Qualifications
Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Experience in conveyor systems, material handling, automation, or related industries
Preferred Skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under site pressure
Willingness to travel and stay at project sites
Ability to work extended hours during critical installation phases
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
