ROLLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF SITE ENGINEER

Designing and planning of civil engineering projects: Senior civil engineers are responsible for designing and planning of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure projects. Supervising junior engineers and technicians: Senior civil engineers often lead and manage teams of junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and mentorship as they work on the project. Managing project schedules and budgets: Senior civil engineers are responsible for managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. Coordinating with other professionals: Senior civil engineers often work closely with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure that the project is meeting the needs of the client and the community. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations: Senior civil engineers are responsible for ensuring that the project is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Managing project risks: Senior civil engineers are responsible for identifying and managing project risks, including safety risks, financial risks, and other potential issues that could impact the project. Overseeing construction: Senior civil engineers often oversee the construction of the project, ensuring that the work is being done according to the plans and specifications. Providing technical expertise: Senior civil engineers often provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, and make decisions that support the successful completion of the project. Managing project closeout and handover: Senior civil engineers are responsible for managing the project closeout process, including the final inspection, project documentation, and the handover of the completed project to the client. Staying current with industry developments: Senior civil engineers are expected to stay current with industry developments, including new technologies and design techniques, to ensure that their projects are up-to-date and efficient.
