We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Site Engineer to manage day-to-day construction activities at our project site. The role involves supervising civil works, coordinating with architects and consultants, managing contractors and workers, and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and with the required quality and safety standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution
Supervise daily civil works: excavation, PEB, PCC/RCC, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, etc.
Ensure all work is carried out strictly as per
approved drawings, specifications and site instructions
.
Check shuttering, steel placement, concrete pouring and curing at each stage.
Monitor labour productivity and workmanship and guide workers wherever required.
2. Coordination & Liaison
Coordinate with
Architect, Structural Engineer and MEP (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire) consultants
for technical clarifications and approvals.
Arrange and attend site meetings with consultants, contractors and management when required.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and vendors for timely availability of materials and resources.
3. Planning & Material Management
Prepare simple daily and weekly work plans in line with the overall project schedule.
Raise material indents on time and follow up for delivery to avoid stoppage of work.
Monitor material usage at site and minimise wastage of concrete, steel, blocks, cement, etc.
4. Quality Control
Check quality of incoming materials as per approved samples and basic standards.
Implement simple checklists for key activities (RCC, masonry, plaster, flooring, etc.).
Take photographs and maintain basic records for important stages and inspections.
5. Safety & Housekeeping
Ensure workers use
PPE (helmets, shoes, gloves, belts, etc.)
and follow basic safety rules.
Maintain good housekeeping: clear walkways, proper stacking of materials, safe scaffolding and ladders.
Immediately report any unsafe act or condition and support in rectifying it.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain
Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
, labour reports and basic material receipt records.
Keep a copy of all latest drawings at site and ensure old revisions are removed.
Report daily/weekly progress, issues and delays to management with simple notes and photos.
Assist in checking contractor measurements and RA bills with basic quantity verification.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
3-7 years experience in building construction (industrial / residential / commercial projects).
Ability to read architectural, structural and basic MEP drawings.
Working knowledge of
AutoCAD and MS Excel
will be an advantage.
Strong site supervision, coordination and communication skills.
Should be proactive, disciplined and willing to be present on site full-time.
