Job Description

:

The Site Engineer is responsible for managing, executing, and monitoring all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires coordination with contractors, consultants, and the project management team, along with maintaining accurate site records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the site.

Ensure work progress aligns with project plans, drawings, and specifications.

Monitor site labor, materials, and equipment to ensure optimal utilization.

Prepare and maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), work logs, and site documentation.

Check levels, layout, and measurements for accurate execution of work.

Coordinate with design and planning teams for technical support.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.

Manage subcontractors and resolve on-site technical issues.

Track material requirements and raise requisitions in advance.

Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and verifying contractor bills.

Required Skills:

AutoCAD proficiency - ability to read, interpret, and modify construction drawings.

Site monitoring and supervision - strong understanding of civil construction activities and sequence of work.

Report preparation - experience in preparing DPRs, material reports, and work progress updates.

Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
