Job Description

Job Purpose



The Site Engineer is responsible for execution, supervision, and coordination of construction activities at site as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision



Execute construction work as per approved drawings, BOQ, and specifications. Supervise daily site activities including civil, finishing, MEP, and external works. Ensure work is carried out as per project schedule and milestones. Maintain proper site discipline and coordination with contractors.

2. Quality Control



Ensure quality of work as per approved standards and project specifications. Check materials received at site as per approved make and quality. Coordinate inspections and maintain quality checklists. Rectify defects and non-conformances immediately.

3. Drawings & Technical Coordination



Study drawings thoroughly and explain them to contractors and supervisors. Coordinate with consultants for drawing clarifications and revisions. Ensure latest approved drawings are used at site. Prepare site sketches if required.

4. Contractor & Vendor Coordination



Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for smooth execution. Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, and workmanship. Report delays, issues, or deviations to Project Manager.

5. Measurement & Billing Support



Take measurements of executed work. Prepare or assist in RA bills and final bills. Verify contractor bills as per site execution.

6. Safety Management



Ensure site safety norms and PPE usage. Implement safety instructions as per company safety policy. Report unsafe practices or incidents immediately. Assist in toolbox talks and safety briefings.

7. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain daily progress reports (DPR). Maintain site registers (material, labor, concrete, cube testing, etc.). Record instructions given to contractors. Support audits and inspections.

Skills Required

Basic knowledge of construction methods and materials Ability to read and understand drawings MS Excel, Word (basic level) Good communication and coordination skills Problem-solving attitude Willingness to work on site

Preferred Experience



Residential / Commercial / Hotel / Infrastructure Projects PMC or Contractor background
