Job Description

Site Engineer's Responsibilities



Site Engineer's responsibility is to guide and work with execution team of skill and unskilled manpower, foreman, sub-contractors, & other staff.

He will coordinate with planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, surveyors and clients' representative during the project tenure.

He must ensure subordinates / site supervisor, workers and subcontractors follows their role, responsibility and company's rules.

His responsibility is to play a role of technical person for guiding the workforce, foreman, subcontractors and site supervisor on day to day basis. His responsibilities include providing support and leadership to workers to achieve the project goals and explaining the job responsibilities to each segment of staff. He is also required to conduct time to time appraisal of working crew to assess their performance and recommending the required changes in the working style or equipment used to enhance the proficiency of the workers. According to the requirements of the project, the selection of resources and tools used by the workforce must be of quality mark. His responsibility is to make cost effective plans and procedures for the project. To conduct meeting with workforce, sub-contractors and share work planning along with project detail with them on regular basis. To maintain all documentation as per company/ clients requirement on site and report to superior.

Duties :



To look after day to day execution of various construction activities as per drawings, specifications and best practice according to relevant IS Codes. To study and follow drawings, tender items, Specifications, instructions etc., checking their accuracy and taking out quantities. To bring to notice of Senior/Project Engineer any ambiguity in drawing, tender and specifications; as well as to identify extra items well in advance and bring to the notice to his senior. Carryout / Checking of lineout, levelling, surveying the site, permanent benchmark fixed by surveyor and approval of the same from consultant/client. To record existing GL and conveying the same to consultant/client before starting the excavation work. Preparation of bar-bending schedules and provide, details to fitters and other site staff/site supervisors. Checking quantity and quality of material received at site along with recording details and stock updating. Day-to-day planning workforce, logistics for plant and site facilities to ensure optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms. Ensuring minimum wastage of every material and labour at all times. To carry out lineout, assign work to workforce and sub-contractor, supervising and monitoring. Day to day execution of work, quality control and progress monitoring of work. To ensure highest quality of workmanship. Ensure quality assurance plan & SOP is strictly implemented. To generate request for equipment and machineries required, and to keep and track record of equipment and machineries used, working hour, fuel consumption (if any) and their output. To calculate the material required and to generate material request in advance to avoid delays. Resolving any technical difficulties & bring to the notice of senior/Project Engineer. Discussion with sub-contractors/agencies regarding requirement of materials, Tools/Equipment/Plants. Finalization of requirement and report to Senior/Project Engineer. Ensures that the safety and health plans are put into practice and followed at all times. To keep record of daily consumption of materials and compare with theoretical consumption to monitor and control wastage. Discussion and planning of next day work with seniors, subordinate and subcontractors. Prepare daily progress report, document all logs, records as per required/ company policy. To update/share all information with senior/project engineer : Labour & Work planning of next day on previous day, DPR at end of each day, all other information on daily basis/as and when occur. To assess the capabilities of workers, identify inefficient workers and let go them from site after discussion with labour contractor and superior. To record measurements and prepare RA/Final bill of labour contractors. To approve quantities for suppliers / sub-contractors To provide accurate details and measurement for company's Bill, along with JMR, certified measurement, checklist etc., as per requirement of work. Maintaining contact with clients and their representatives through regular progress meetings. Preparing reports as required. Coordinating with competent authority in case of any accident happen at site.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
