Job Summary

:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Site Engineer to join our team for a new real estate development project. The Site Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing construction activities, ensuring quality standards, and managing project timelines and costs on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience with large-scale real estate development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management

: Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure the work is completed on time and according to specifications.

Quality Control

: Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with construction drawings, regulations, and specifications.

Coordination

: Collaborate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineers to facilitate smooth construction operations.

Health & Safety Compliance

: Ensure that all construction work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits on-site.

Site Surveys

: Assist in conducting site surveys and inspections, ensuring the correct interpretation of designs and technical drawings.

Material Management

: Monitor and manage material inventory on-site to ensure that materials are available when needed and are used efficiently.

Project Documentation

: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including labour, machinery usage, material consumption, and progress reports.

Cost Control

: Assist in monitoring the project budget, ensure that costs are controlled, and identify any deviations from the financial plan.

Problem Solving

: Address and resolve on-site issues, whether they are technical, logistical, or personnel-related, in a timely and effective manner.

Progress Monitoring

: Track and report on the progress of the construction project, comparing planned milestones to actual outcomes.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

: Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders regarding project progress, issues, and solutions.

Subcontractor Management

: Supervise and manage subcontractors and their activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience

: Minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within the real estate or construction industry.

Technical Skills

: Strong understanding of construction drawings, project specifications, and construction materials.

Communication

: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Problem-Solving

: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Health & Safety Knowledge

: Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and construction site safety practices.

Leadership

: Ability to lead and supervise a team of contractors, laborer's, and subcontractors.

Time Management

: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate development projects. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
