Job Purpose: Project Head is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful completion of renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role is responsible for overseeing project scope, budgets, timelines, and quality, while coordinating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. The Project Head ensures resource optimization, risk management, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. Additionally, they drive the project's financial performance, ensuring profitability and compliance. By effectively managing teams and fostering collaboration, the Project Head plays a critical role in delivering sustainable energy solutions that contribute to the company's growth and environmental objectives.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Responsible for creating detailed project plans that outline scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation by defining the work breakdown structure, setting milestones, and determining the budget.
Ensure that the project is executed according to the standard operating procedures, managing resources, contractors, and teams effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Timeline Adherence and Scheduling Responsibilities
Oversee the development and approval of the master project schedule, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and resource availability.
Monitor project progress against timelines, addressing high-level delays and making strategic decisions to realign schedules if necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
Responsible to address concerns, secure necessary approvals, and foster collaboration.
Develop communication strategies that keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management:
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, including financial, operational, and environmental risks by ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws.
Develop contingency plans and implement risk mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions and ensure the project stays on course and conduct review meeting to inculcate HSE responsibilities among employees.
Budget Management and Cost Control:
Tasked with managing the project budget, ensuring costs are controlled, and financial performance aligns with company objectives by setting up a financial tracking system, monitoring expenditures, and finding opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Ensure the project delivers expected financial returns while maintaining operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development:
Cultivate a high-performing team through mentorship, training, and fostering a collaborative work environment which include aligning team goals with organizational objectives, promoting professional growth, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards and regulatory compliance.

Quality Control and Assurance:
Develop comprehensive quality assurance plans for each project, detailing quality checklists, benchmarks, and milestone reviews tailored to the project's specifications by ensuring that the project team is equipped with the right resources, training, and guidance to uphold these quality standards.
Conduct thorough quality reviews at key project milestones to identify any deviations from set standards early in the project lifecycle by implementing corrective actions in real time, minimizing potential impacts on timelines and budgets.
Resource Allocation:
Develop a comprehensive resource allocation plan tailored to each phase and task within the project by assessing each project's unique needs, coordinating closely with site and project managers to ensure the right mix of skilled labor, equipment, and materials are available, and reassigning resources when project stages or conditions shift to maintain progress.
Implement and maintain a tracking system to monitor the allocation and utilization of resources across various projects by real-time tracking of personnel, materials, and equipment usage, enabling proactive adjustments to prevent bottlenecks, underutilization, or potential resource wastage, thereby improving overall project efficiency.

Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, often complemented by a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management, along with relevant certifications in project management methodologies.
Work Experience:
25+ years experience in project management, with a strong background in renewable energy projects. This includes leading multidisciplinary teams, managing large-scale projects, and a proven track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
