Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and maintaining civil and structural works at the animal protein manufacturing facility. The role ensures that all infrastructure supports hygienic operations, heavy machinery loads, waste management systems, and complies with statutory, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Construction & Infrastructure

Plan and execute civil works for manufacturing units, processing areas, warehouses, cold storage, and utility buildings. Design and maintain foundations for heavy equipment such as dryers, reactors, grinders, conveyors, and boilers. Oversee construction of roads, drainage systems, boundary walls, and worker facilities within the plant.

Hygiene & Compliance

Ensure civil designs comply with food/feed safety, hygiene, and biosecurity standards. Develop flooring systems with proper slope, anti-skid finish, chemical resistance, and easy wash-down. Ensure segregation of clean and contaminated zones as per process requirements.

Project Management

Prepare BOQs, estimates, layouts, and construction schedules. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal departments. Monitor project progress, quality, and cost control to meet deadlines.

Maintenance & Upgradation

Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of plant civil structures. Plan modifications, expansions, and retrofitting as per production requirements. Address structural issues related to vibration, moisture, corrosion, or heavy load impact.

Statutory & Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with local building codes, factory acts, pollution control norms, and fire safety regulations. Assist in audits and inspections related to civil infrastructure. Implement safe construction practices and site safety standards.

Waste & Effluent Infrastructure

Support construction and maintenance of ETP/STP, waste handling zones, composting areas, and drainage networks. Ensure proper slope, lining, and containment to prevent contamination and leakage.
Key Skills & Competencies

Industrial civil construction and structural design Knowledge of food/feed manufacturing infrastructure AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel (basic structural software knowledge preferred) Strong contractor and site management skills Understanding of hygiene, drainage, and effluent systems Cost estimation and BOQ preparation
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Relevant experience in manufacturing plants, food processing, feed mills, or heavy industrial projects preferred

Pay: ?35,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
