Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Silai (Sewing) Trainer to provide practical and theoretical sewing training to students or women's self-help groups. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in tailoring, garment construction, and the use of industrial/domestic sewing machines.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct sewing and tailoring classes based on the curriculum. Train students in hand stitching, machine sewing, garment cutting, pattern making, and finishing techniques. Assess students' progress and provide individual guidance. Prepare training materials and maintain attendance and progress records. Motivate trainees to build confidence and creativity in designing. Coordinate with program coordinators and provide regular training reports.

Requirements:

Minimum 10th pass or equivalent; tailoring certification or diploma preferred. Proven experience (2+ years) in tailoring or training others in sewing. Knowledge of different fabrics, sewing machines, and garment construction. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Patience and a passion for teaching.
