Job Description

A Shuttering Foreman supervises the installation and dismantling of formwork for concrete structures. This involves ensuring safety, interpreting construction plans, coordinating with other teams, and maintaining quality standards. They lead and train a team of shuttering carpenters, manage materials, and troubleshoot issues related to formwork construction. Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Overseeing and directing shuttering carpenters and laborers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.

Formwork Installation and Dismantling:

Ensuring the correct and safe construction, installation, and dismantling of formwork for various concrete elements like walls, slabs, columns, and beams.

Plan Interpretation:

Reading and understanding construction drawings, blueprints, and formwork layouts to guide the work.

Safety Compliance:

Implementing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures related to formwork and general construction practices.

Quality Control:

Inspecting completed formwork to ensure it meets specified dimensions, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Material Management:

Managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are in good condition and readily available.
