Job Summary
The In?Shop Showroom Manager is responsible for the overall day?to?day operations of a hardware/building materials showroom. This role ensures excellent customer experience, achieves sales targets, manages staff and inventory, maintains display standards, and coordinates with suppliers and the back?office team.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Experience
Manage walk?in customers and ensure high?quality product demonstration and consultation
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for hardware and building material products
Upsell and cross?sell related products (sanitaryware, fittings, tools, electricals, paints, etc.)
Handle customer queries, quotations, order bookings, and follow?ups
Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly
Showroom Operations
Ensure the showroom is well?organized, clean, and visually appealing at all times
Maintain proper product displays, signage, pricing, and brand standards
Oversee billing, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation
Ensure adherence to company policies and operational SOPs
Inventory & Vendor Coordination
Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum inventory availability
Coordinate with warehouse, suppliers, and logistics for timely replenishment
Track slow?moving and fast?moving items and suggest corrective actions
Minimize stock loss, damages, and pilferage
Team Management
Supervise, train, and motivate showroom sales staff
Allocate daily duties and monitor staff performance
Maintain discipline, attendance, and grooming standards
Conduct regular product and sales training
Reporting & Administration
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and stock reports
Share market feedback, competitor activity, and customer insights with management
Support promotional activities, schemes, and in?store marketing campaigns

Good knowledge of hardware/building materials
Basic computer skills (billing software, Excel, ERP)
Problem?solving and decision?making skills
Education & Experience
Graduate or Diploma (preferred)
3-7 years of experience in a hardware, sanitaryware, electrical, or building materials showroom
Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred
