This is a full-time, on-site role for a Should Cost Analyst with a strong background in cost modeling, value engineering, and supplier cost analysis across various manufacturing domains.
The role involves performing cost analysis using both parametric and bottom-up costing techniques, while working closely with internal stakeholders such as strategic sourcing and procurement teams. The analyst is responsible for delivering accurate cost breakdowns, sharing actionable insights, support RFQ evaluations, and enable data-driven decision-making throughout the product lifecycle

Our team supports supplier negotiations through end-to-end supply chain evaluations at a global level, enabling organizations to achieve competitive pricing and implement sustainable sourcing strategies
What You Will Do
Perform a detailed cost break down of a part given and perform Should cost analysis
o Need to do deep dive analysis on various cost drivers and other value add identification of a certain part
o Estimate model procurement costs for new designs without waiting for supplier quotes
o Generating actionable factors on suppliers' product costs requires detailed insight into underlying factors including
o Material Costs/Manufacturing Process Costs, Labor Costs, Overhead, Tooling/Facilities Investments
o
Perform Should cost analytics for mechanical products like Machining, Molding parts, Cables, Connector Assemblies, PCBA's, Die casting etc
o Review and analyze supplier quotes to visualize the different alternatives
o Ensure accuracy (pricing, lead-time, etc.) of supplier quotes
o Participate and collaborate on key initiatives as assigned from time to time.
o Technical knowledge of Tooling and Die manufacturing Processes, GD&T and Capex will be an added advantage.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
3-5 years exp in the costing field
B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electronics engineering
Work independently in various commodities without any tools dependencies on costing
Need to handle global clients with a global market intelligence
Able to prepare a cost model from scratch
Mechanical should costing, Zero based costing
