We are looking for an experienced, skilled chef to join us for a 15?day culinary assignment in Ahmedabad. We will provide travel, local accommodation, kitchen facilities, ingredients, and support staff. You will be responsible for preparing authentic, high-quality North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes for our guests/events.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a variety of popular North Indian dishes -- both vegetarian and non-vegetarian -- with a focus on classics such as Butter Paneer, Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, Rogan Josh, Korma, Tandoori items, and other regional specialties.
Plan menus (with portion sizes) and execute daily meal services according to the event schedule or guest requirements.
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, taste, and presentation.
Manage food preparation and cooking within provided kitchen facilities and adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
Coordinate with on-site staff for plating, serving schedules, and ingredient replenishment.
Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment; report any issues promptly.
Follow the agreed schedule, arrive on time, and complete tasks within the 15?day assignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2 years' professional cooking experience in a 3?star to 5?star hotel or reputable restaurant.
Proven expertise in North Indian cuisine (both veg and non?veg), including preparation of popular dishes like Butter Paneer and Butter Chicken.
Strong knowledge of ingredient selection, spice balance, and traditional cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a temporary/on-site kitchen environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with local staff.
Food safety and hygiene certification preferred (e.g., FSSAI or equivalent) but not mandatory.
