As the Shopify & UI/UX Platform Manager, you will be the single point of ownership for VRO's Shopify storefront. You will handle the shopify platform, ensure stability and performance, and continuously improve UI/UX and conversion.
This role requires someone who can both think and build -- propose UX improvements and implement them directly on Shopify without heavy dependency on external teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shopify Platform Ownership
Own the end-to-end Shopify storefront (frontend & backend)
Ensure site uptime, performance, security, and scalability
Manage Shopify admin, themes, Liquid customisations, apps, and checkout flows
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, UI issues, and integration conflicts
2. Agency Handover & Documentation
Take complete technical and functional handover from the development agency
Understand custom code, workflows, integrations, and automations
Create clear internal documentation for platform architecture and processes
Eliminate day-to-day dependency on the agency within the first 60-90 days
3. UI/UX Execution & Optimisation
Independently execute UI/UX changes across homepage, PLP, PDP, and checkout
Improve layout, spacing, typography, hierarchy, and mobile responsiveness
Implement design changes from Figma / wireframes directly on Shopify
Identify UX friction points and propose conversion-focused improvements
Maintain a clean, minimal, men-first user experience aligned with the VRO brand
4. Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
Plan and execute CRO experiments (CTAs, layouts, flows, content placement)
Analyse user behaviour and funnel drop-offs
Continuously improve conversion, engagement, and time on site
5. Catalogue, Content & Collection Support
Work closely with Catalogue teams on product uploads, metafields, and collections
Define and maintain clean product taxonomy and collection logic
Ensure catalogue presentation is optimised for discovery and conversion
6. Analytics & Performance Tracking
Own Shopify analytics and GA4
Monitor key metrics: traffic, conversion, bounce rate, page speed
Share actionable insights with Category and Marketing teams
7. App, Tool & Vendor Management
Evaluate, onboard, and manage Shopify apps and integrations
Prevent app bloat and ensure optimal site performance
Coordinate with payment gateways, logistics partners, and app vendors
Decide when agency or external support is required vs in-house execution
