Position Overview

We are seeking a

Shopify & PHP Developer

with a strong grasp of

Shopify theme and app development

combined with solid

backend skills in PHP, MySQL, and API integration

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new Shopify stores, customizing themes, maintaining existing codebases, and integrating backend systems for seamless performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain

Shopify stores

, including custom themes and Liquid templates. Build

Shopify apps

using PHP or Node.js and integrate with third-party APIs. Customize and extend Shopify functionality using

Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX

. Work with

PHP frameworks (Laravel / CodeIgniter)

for backend integrations. Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with ERP/CRM or payment gateways. Optimize site performance, SEO, and conversion rate. Implement best practices for version control (Git) and code documentation. Collaborate with designers, digital marketers, and QA teams for end-to-end delivery. Troubleshoot performance issues and provide ongoing technical support.

Core Skills & Technologies

Shopify Ecosystem

Shopify theme development (Online Store 2.0) Liquid templating language Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, and GraphQL) Shopify App development (Node.js / PHP) Shopify Plus / Headless Commerce (Hydrogen or Next.js preferred) Payment Gateway Integration (Razorpay, PayPal, etc.)

PHP & Backend Development

Strong expertise in

PHP 7+/8+, MySQL, and REST APIs

Experience with

Laravel / CodeIgniter frameworks

JSON, cURL, JWT, and OAuth API authentication Custom backend logic for Shopify and non-Shopify modules

Front-End Skills

HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, TailwindCSS JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, AJAX Responsive and cross-browser UI implementation

Additional Skills

Git / Bitbucket version control Familiarity with Linux hosting and cPanel Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and Pixel implementation Experience with Shopify App Bridge and Polaris Framework is a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify and PHP development
