Shopify Architect - Contract

Location : Kochi/TVM/Remote

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

Define the overall Shopify Plus architecture including storefront, backend, integrations, and apps. Design scalable, extensible, and maintainable Shopify solutions that meet business requirements. Own the Shopify technical roadmap and guide platform evolution and modernization.

Platform Leadership

Act as the subject matter expert on Shopify capabilities, Liquid templating, and headless commerce models (e.g., Hydrogen, Storefront API). Evaluate and select tech stacks, Shopify apps, custom modules, and third-party integrations (e.g., ERP, PIM, CRM, OMS). Provide guidance on SEO optimization, performance tuning, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

Development Oversight

Collaborate with frontend/backend engineers, UX designers, and project managers to deliver Shopify projects. Lead technical discovery, documentation, and prototyping. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.

DevOps & CI/CD

Work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines for Shopify code deployments. Define Git workflows, environment branching, and release management strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

Translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure alignment between stakeholders and development teams. Advise on third-party licensing, platform capabilities, and feature feasibility. Adhere to ISMS Policies and procedure.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to ?180,000.00 per month
