We are looking for a

skilled, self-sufficient Shopify App Developer

who can take full ownership of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining custom Shopify applications for comp. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling the complete development lifecycle independently--from requirement gathering to final deployment.

Responsibilities:

Build robust, scalable Shopify apps using

Ruby, JavaScript, and Liquid

. Develop backend services using

Ruby on Rails

or

Node.js

. Work extensively with the

Shopify REST and GraphQL APIs

to integrate store data and create custom functionalities. Architect efficient database structures using

PostgreSQL

to manage customer, product, and order data. Host and maintain applications on platforms like

Heroku

or

AWS

, ensuring high performance and security. Build responsive, intuitive front-end interfaces using

React

,

Vue

, or

Angular

. Integrate secure

payment gateways

such as PayPal, Stripe, or Square when required. Ensure all applications adhere to Shopify's app review guidelines and best practices.

Core Duties

End-to-End Development:

Independently manage the complete app development cycle--from planning to production.

Requirement Analysis:

Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into technical specifications.

Solution Architecture:

Design plugin/app architecture, workflows, and UI.

Coding & Implementation:

Write clean, efficient, testable code following industry standards.

Testing & Debugging:

Conduct thorough QA to ensure apps are error-free, secure, and optimized.

Maintenance & Updates:

Provide continuous support, updates, and performance enhancements.

Documentation:

Prepare user guides, technical documentation, and release notes.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with internal teams when needed, but remain capable of working independently.

Innovation & Improvement:

Stay updated with Shopify's evolving ecosystem and implement improvements proactively.
