Calculate labor hours, material requirements, subcontractor costs, and equipment usage for ship repair jobs.
Prepare preliminary budgets and final quotations for tenders and direct jobs.
Ensure estimates are competitive, accurate, and aligned with company cost structures.
2. Technical Evaluation
Study ship drawings, technical documents, and class survey requirements.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and procurement teams for technical inputs.
Identify potential risks, contingencies, and special requirements in projects.
3. Client & Tender Support
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders and direct customer inquiries.
Liaise with clients, surveyors, and classification societies for technical clarifications.
Participate in negotiations with clients to finalize repair contracts.
4. Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate with production teams to validate cost assumptions and post-project cost variances.
Support project handover with detailed cost breakdowns.
Maintain an updated database of labor rates, material prices, and subcontractor charges.
Prepare MIS reports on estimation accuracy, profit margins, and market trends.
